The tropical climate is uniformly hot and wet all the year. The best period to go to Malaysia is from the beginning of June to the end of September. The most pleasant period is from mid-November to mid February, which is also called the « fresh season », though the temperature remain high. From November to April, the water is calm. From January to February, the wind is strong. From May to October, there is no water sport available ; west wind and strong currents, tides can reach 1.50 m to 2.50 (4.92 ft to 8.20 ft). Between mid-March to mid-May, it is the hot season. Till the end of November, it is the wet season. The heat is a bit less strong but humidity can make it difficult to bear.
